dmg file will not install

Have downloaded PSE 10 to reinstall after having to totally  recover a harddrive on IMAC.   Double click on the downloaded image showing on my desktop does not activate the normal install routine?  Tried dragging the dmg file to applications. Still does not activate the install.  Also, never has my serial number been requested.

    You are correct.  The OS 10.12.1 does not support PSE 10.

    You are correct.  The OS 10.12.1 does not support PSE 10.
