Do i need to uninstall my CS6 package in order to install or upgrade to adobe cloud....if so, won't it corrupt or delete my designs?

It is not essential to uninstall previous versions before installing Creative Cloud.

You need to make sure that you save your designs.

If you can manage the storage then you can keep both.
