Do you need admin rights to open and use PS CS5 / CS6 ? If so, how can this be changed to a work folder where I have admin rights?

PS CS6 has been installed on my business pc. The license was approved. When I open PS, an error occurs saying that the work volume could not be opened as the file is locked. I have changed the work file folder from C to D but still it would not work. PS cannot be opened. Do I definitely need admin rights?

to test, right click the exe and click 'run as administrator'.

if that does not solve the problem, reset your preferences -   https://forums.adobe.com/thread/375776
