Does a Creative Suite 5.5 license from 2011 work for Creative Cloud in 2024?

I have a Creative Suite serial number that was purchased in 2011. If I search for the licence number, it says it's already in use, but I don't know which email it's linked to, or if it's linked to one, because I didn't buy it myself, but I'm asked to find out. So I would like to know if a licence purchased in 2011 is compatible with today's Creative Cloud.

Many thanks in advance!

If your license is in use, then you need to deactivate the other computers before you install on a new one. Everytime you move to a new computer you needed to de-activate and activate on the new computer. But compatibility is a bigger question. On Windows, it's possible. You should search the forums if you run into a particular issue. On Mac it's not. CS5.5 was 32-bit and newer Mac OS systems are 64-bit only and will no longer install the older software.

My CS5.5 Master Collection was on a Computer that Crashed and I can no longer access it to deactivate the license, also my new W11 computer does not want to load off the origional DVD's !  This was supposed to be a lifetime license and is not working after 13 years !

if you can't access any computer with an activation, you can't deactivate it.

installing is a different issue which can usually be circumvented using compatibility mode.

You can not use a serial number for CS5.5 to use Creative Cloud apps, if that is what you are asking.

You have to purchase a subscription.
