Does installing creative cloud, desktop, etc. delete my already installed adobe apps?

Does installing creative cloud, desktop, etc. delete my already installed adobe apps? i have adobe media encoder and after effects ver. 23, and 2021 cphotoshop. i feel that creative cloud has way to many apps downloaded on mac so can i unstall it but keep my other apps?

Hi @Sean37330754qnt1,

As @kglad mentioned, there is a way to retain your old versions. All you need to do is follow this path:

Select the Account icon > Click on Preferences > Select the Apps tab > Enable Auto-update option > On the desired app, select Advanced options > Deselect Remove older versions > Click Done

if you're asking about the cc desktop app, no it won't remove already installed older apps (or current ones). however when updating an app be careful to unselect the option to delete older apps that are being updated, if that's what you want.

Does installing creative cloud, desktop, etc. delete my already installed adobe apps? i have three adobe apps, photoshop 2021, after effects 2023, and adobe media encoder 2023. creative cloud takes alot of unwanted space so if i unistall it, does it take away my apps too????

if you're asking about the cc desktop app, no it won't remove already installed older apps (or current ones). however when updating an app be careful to unselect the option to delete older apps that are being updated, if that's what you want.
