Leo please contact our support team.  For the best assistance, I recommend our chat support at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6.  Our chat representatives can provide a personalized experience to resolve the issue you have described.  I would recommend also referencing this discussion with the member of our support team.

    Thanks Jeff,

As you suggested, I contacted support a few days ago and the issue was quickly resolved.

The solution was to go to Application Support/Adobe folder in both user's and computer Libraries and disable the following folders (by adding "old" to their names - or I guess they could be just deleted):

    AAMUpdater

    OOBE

Creative Cloud desktop then recreates those folders and the problem goes away.

Would be nice if Adobe listed this simple solution on their support pages.

It also makes me believe that I was correct and that the solutions listed on Adobe support pages are NOT applicable to the issue discussed here - but only to the errors explicitly listed on those pages.

I also have to say that support via the Chat feature was very fast, professional and effective.

    Thanks,

    Leo
