Download problems.

I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7.  I then reloaded the Acrobat 9 Standard program and did the updates.  The program cannot download pdf documents.  I get an error.  Sometimes when I hit retry, it completes the downloads.  Other times I get an error that the file type is unsupported or damaged.  I tried to simply download a viewer to see my American Express statement, but it said the file could not be downloaded.  Is this a Windows 7 problem or an Adobe Acrobat problem?

Use another browser, turn off your security tools. Something is most likely genuinely damaging the files or blocking them which can easily happen with over-zealous security tools thinking all PDF files are evil...
