In addition to @kglad answer you should deactivate the defective device in your Adobe account.

Please see here for more informations: Creative Cloud "Activation limit reached" or "Sign-in failed" error (adobe.com)

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 5 - Topaz Photo

@AxelMatt , the op need not bother with that.  they can install cc on an unlimited number of computers.  if they attempt to sign in on a 3rd computer, they'll be prompted to sign out of one of the other two and they'll both be listed in that message.

Just to make sure: deactivation of apps is no longer needed. Creative cloud will do that automatically.

Thank you,

install the cc desktop app from here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs.

if you have trouble downloading the cc desktop app or you see an error message when trying to install, make sure you have a compatible os (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html), and use the alternative download links at page bottom here, https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
