Downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro, Sign in required to activate/register--asks for previous version S/N--do not have one

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro and did download.  Now it says "Sign in Required" to activate/register.  It then asks for Serial Number of previous version.   The only previous version was a trial version and did not have serial number.  Cannot go beyond that screen to open files in Acrobat.
