    Kindly help us with the exact error message that shows up.

    As suggested by Szalam, You could be having  32 bit operating system, see the system requirements here: After Effects System Requirements for Mac OS and Windows .

    You are trying to install AE on a system with a 32-bit operating system. After Effects requires a 64-bit operating system.

    Maybe a firewall, many your location. I just installed a couple of new apps from the CC app on my laptop with no problems. As my friend Muylenium said - we need more info.
