Downloading CS6 seemed to download but failed to initialize

I paid nearly $750 for this program and was not getting updates so I uninstalled it thinking i would just download and reinstall. No such luck and no support from Adobe other than this forum. My question is the download completes. I click on the dmg file and up pops the Adobe Photoshop CS6 with three icons. I click on the "Adobe Photoshop CS6" icon and I get 4 folders so i click on "Install" and get the following message "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem" there is a blue Hyper link to "Get Adobe Support Advisor" click on it and i get to these forums. I would like to get my photoshop back this is a pain Adobe should be proud! Can anyone help????

For Mac El Capitan or the newer Sierra operating system read below

Owners of old programs simply have problems with Mac El Capitan/Sierra... none of which is Adobe's fault... Adobe did not change your old program to make it stop working... Apple changed their operating system and THAT is why your old programs won't work, not because of anything Adobe did... Also... every time Apple issues an update, there is the risk that an old program that HAS been working will STOP working... bottom line, old programs require a matching old operating system

Thank you for the link, I hope Adobe reads this so i can express my point of view. My photoshop GONE! Adobe is pushing CC! My Adobe Acrobat Pro - works! my Adobe Lightroom - Works! why not CS6 because Adobe will not make a patch is that MAC's fault? I think the patch is to buy CC, well that is not going to happen if they want to push CC have at it. There are alternatives out there and I guess I leave Adobe to their Creative Cloud they live in. Am I a disgruntled customer? YES

Go back and re-read my reply #2

This is APPLE'S fault for changing their operating system... and your fault for trying to use a new operating system with an old program

If you want to use a 4 year old program, you need to use a matching 4 year old operating system

Adobe did not force you to change your operating system... that was your decision... blame Apple, not Adobe

I would go up to the Adobe site and get the Adobe cleaner tool and run that, reboot and try again

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
