Downloading Edge Code seems to take ages on Mac OS.

Nothing seems to happen: Creative Cloud seems to be busy, but that's all. Nothing is downloaded. What now?

Zondervrees did the installation complete?  If so then please see Launch CC apps after install - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/launch-creative-cloud-apps.html for information on how to open Edge Code.

CC installed and then it took ages for nothing to happen: I clicked on 'apps', CC went into 'busy' mode, and that's it. I even went out for dinner, came back after 1 hour, still nothing downloaded.

I now simply uninstalled CC since it doesn't seem to do anything, installed Bracquets instead.

Why do I need to install CC if I just want to try out Edge Code?

The Creative Cloud Desktop application manages installations and updates to the majority of Adobe Creative Cloud software titles.  Also a component is utilized to license the software.  This includes licensing the software for a 30 day trial evaluation.

If you decide you wish to proceed with installing Edge Code then it is likely you are facing a download error.  Please see Error downloading Creative Cloud applications - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error-downloading-cc-apps.html for information on how to resolve download errors.
