Question

Downloading Encore with Premiere CC

I am in the process of creating a DVD with menu, and would like to use Encore to do so. Obviously it's not included in the CC version of Premiere, and all I have read indicates that I will need to download the CS6 version of Premiere, then uninstall the Premiere part of the download but keep the Encore CS6 part. Does this mean that I must uninstall Premiere Pro CC? I can't find a way to simply download the previous version of Premiere without first uninstalling the new one. It seems like a terribly convoluted way to get Encore! Any help?

You do not NEED to uninstall PProCS6, that is mainly for people who have limited drive space

You also do not uninstall PProCloud... you use that to edit and then export as appropriate (DVD or BluRay) and import in Encore

Getting Encore instructions, Cloud or serial number version https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1992717

-6-21-16 note on previous versions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2170886

-has notes about different Cloud versions and step by step on those differences

-must click on both "All Apps" and the button below, "VIEW PREVIOUS VERSIONS."

-see next for information on the separate library download that is needed

You ask actual Encore questions in https://forums.adobe.com/community/encore/content

Technically you need Premiere CS6 all the time as Encore is part of it. Without the Premiere 6, Encore will not work. Funny all chapters created in the latest CC will work in Encore. By the way the Premiere CS6 also helps get some job done.  Anytime the CC misbehaves I fall back to cs6.

The big question we should be asking Adobe is, when is the next Encore upgrade? Because about 40% of our finishing is done in Encore.

>when is the next Encore upgrade?

Never - CS6 is the final Encore, see #8 here for why http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1337952?tstart=0
