Downloading previous versions of CC Apps (CS5) using Creative Cloud

Hi all,

My MacBook Pro (2018) got pinched and I'm having to use a much older, Early 2011 model. Unfortunately, the latest OS that it will support is Sierra (10.12.6) and the minimum requirement for CC Applications is Catalina (10.15). I'm trying to find a way, through the Creative Cloud desktop app, to download earlier versions of the Adobe Suite that'll be supported by the ancient running system I'm having to use (such as CS5, which I know definitely works). I've already enabled "Show Older Apps" in the Preferences section but none of the older versions are showing up.

Please help! I'm hoping it's a simple and quick fix. Thanks very much in advance!

Nope. Creative Cloud plan contains only the latest release and one previous version. Pre-2020 apps are NOT available.  Sorry for your loss.

Given that you're stuck with a late model computer, use other software until you can replace it.

When the time comes, make sure your new computer meets the current CPU & GPU requirements. Most Creative Cloud apps work on:

  • Windows 11, Windows 10 versions 21H1, 20H2, 2004, and 1909 (LTSB branches are not supported);
  • macOS 12 (Monterey), macOS 11 (Big Sur), macOS 10.16 or 10.15 (Catalina).

Not possible... you must have already purchased the no longer sold or supported CS5-or-CS6 to be able to install using the serial number that you purchased before Adobe stopped selling those old versions

Was worried that was going to be the case... Ah well. Will see about freezing my subscription until I'm able to get a newer laptop. Is there really no way around it though? If you're already paying for a subscription for all the Apps?

Adobe now offers the current and ONE older version via the online program manager
.
I do not know how far back this process will go, but try this link
-NOTE that you will have to search the site for your specific download
Direct Download Links https://prodesigntools.com/tag/ddl MAY help
-you MUST do what it says in Note: Very Important Instructions
-https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2015-direct-download-links.html#download-instructions
-the prodesign links go directly to Adobe's file server, so this process will
--only work until Adobe completely removes the old version(s) from the server
.
IF/When you do have a download, be sure to copy it to AT LEAST one external device
-since Adobe does sometimes remove old versions from the server
-a usb flash drive or external hard drive, or write to a DVD
