Elements 13 software will not recognise Internet connection and refuses to allow me to validate software installation from purchased disc. Why ?

D‌uring installation process I am asked to validate registration number but software will not recognise Internet connection and I am compelled to validate later but program will not allow this. Product has been added to my account but this appears to mean little. My installation now has the status of a trial version even though it was shop bought. Any solutions ?
