Elements not working after drive has been cloned.

Hi I recently upgraded my hard drive to SSD and used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the old drive. However I had been using the new drive for a month or so before doing this so rather than doing a complete clone I made a partition and cloned the old drive (minus the operating system). My problem is that Elements and some other programs didn't transfer over, but more annoyingly won't even open when I plug the old drive in and try to open it through that.(which is now in a caddy so I can use it as an external hard drive).

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Ned but I don't have a copy of the original program. Therefore I was hoping to be able to transfer it over

If you have the serial number for the installation and it is version 8 or higher you should be able to download it thru one of the pages linked below.  If you registered the software, you should be able to find the serial number information for it thru your Adobe account.

If the above holds, you can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.
