embedded application node.js will not update or uninstall

So node.js is many versions out of date and there are some known vulnerabilities with SSL and such. Since it's not a stand alone program, downloading the newest version of node.js simply installs a stand alone version but doesn't remove or update the old one. I am running windows 10 education x64 version 1803 build 17134.285. All drivers are up to date as well.

I uninstalled and reinstalled 2x and the main CC apps (photoshop, audition, after effects etc.) updated to the latest version but the node.js didn't.

Hi Jason,

As kglad suggests, I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling the Creative Cloud app. I think the node.js would be updated as part of the installation. This article includes an uninstaller for the process and a link to download the reinstallation.

Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application

Please let us know if this resolves it for you.

Best,

- Dave

why don't you delete the old one and replace it with the newest one?
