Error 145 updating CC, in Assets section

Hi there!

Since 2 days ago I see a small red point in my “Creative Cloud” icon (Mac top bar, working with OS Sierra 10.12.6)

Inside the “Activos” section (suppose is “Assets” in English) I see this message:

“Error de Actualización de Creative Cloud” (Creative Cloud Updating Error)

And then: Error Code: 145

Looking at Install.log (inside Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/…) I see this info:

-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

- 2 fatal error(s), 0 error(s), 1 warnings(s)

FATAL: Error (Code = 145) executing in command 'MoveDirectoryCommand' for package: 'CoreSync-mul', version:2.4.3.114

FATAL: Error occurred in install of package (Name: CoreSync-mul Version: 2.4.3.114). Error code: '145'

WARN: Destination path is file or already used "/System/Library/CoreServices/DiskImageMounter.app/Contents/Resources/ro.lproj/MainMenu.strings/CoreSync"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To be honest: I have no interest at all in “Assets” section. I only want that all my Apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and After Effects) works fine. And all them plays right.

But I'm a bit worried that maybe this is a sign of other problems…

Any suggestion to fix that?

Thanks for your support! 🙂

rename that directory /System/Library/CoreServices/DiskImageMounter.app/Contents/Resources/ro.lproj/MainMenu.s trings/CoreSync after terminating all adobe processes (in activity monitor)

restart your computer

and if you can get that panel to open, disable file/font sync'g if it's unneeded

Hi Kglad!

Thank you so much for your input! :-)

However there are some things that makes me doubt:

FIRST:

When you said: “rename that directory…” In my computer there is not such directory:

/System/Library/CoreServices/DiskImageMounter.app/Contents/Resources/ro.lproj/MainMenu.strings/CoreSync

I found the “MainMenu.strings” (see capture) but that is NOT a folder nor a package, just a file, with nothing “inside”.

Hence, I can not rename that “CoreSync” file, because it doesn’t exist.

Or maybe you mean renaming the last folder on that path? (“ro.lproj”)

And another question, related: once all procedure is terminated, I should re-rename again to the original name? Or not?

SECOND:

When you say “…after terminating all adobe processes (in activity monitor)”

How can I be sure of terminating ALL Adobe processes?

I mean:

Even with all my Adobe apps closed, looking at “All my processes” in Activity Monitor there are ones that are clear, searching by “adobe”:

Adobe CEF Helper

Adobe CEF Helper

Adobe Desktop Service

Adobe Installer

AdobeCRDaemon

AdobeCRDaemon

AdobeIPCBroker

com.adobe.acc.installer

And also other, which a clear AdobeCC icon in front, like:

CCLibrary

CCXprocess

Core Sync Helper

Core Sync Helper

Creative Cloud

But… that is ALL? How I know what other processes could belong to Adobe? (there are lot of “exotic” names there…)

--------

A side question: would be possible, as another approach, boot my computer in Safe Mode (by that way nothing from Adobe will launch, AFAIK) and then search for that directory (if you mean the “ro.lproj” folder) to rename it, and then

restart in normal mode to disable file/font syncing in that Adobe CC panel?

Thank you so much again for your help!
