Error 16: After installing Acrobat XI on OS W8 64-bit startup stalls on noted error.

Reinstall is indicated. Using all cleanup methods described does not help. What can be done?

    Hi RistoHaataja,

    Disable UAC and try installing again: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/hyperyash/archive/2012/07/18/disabling-user-account-control-in-windows-8.aspx .

    If this does not work then follow the steps mentioned in the kb: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error-cs5.html .

    Thanks, going through the lists...

    ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore - won't allow de-selection of read only option to remain off.

    Windows 64 bit: Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ Adobe PCD\ - this file does not exist in my system.
