Error 500 when trying to access apps

I can't access any of my 'apps and services' - I repeatedly get "Error 500: Internal Server Error". I've looked through help articles, tried the virtual assistant and Adobe Care on X / Twitter, but getting nowhere (I don't have the option to contact support). Can anyone help?

Correct answer kglad

it's not clear what you're doing to generate that error.

make sure you have a compatible os (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html), and use the alternative download links at page bottom here to install the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

use the cc desktop app to install your cc trial and subscription apps.

if you're trying to check your account, use https://account.adobe.com

Thanks for your reply kglad, I'll work through those steps (see my reply above showing what I'm doing to generate that error).

Why would you not have the option to contact support? Anyhow please enlist what all have to tried so that we don't share the same ideas again.

Thanks for your reply Manan. I have no idea why I can't contact support - the option simply isn't available... when I click 'Contact Adobe Customer Support' in my welcome email I'm sent to the Help Center (articles). Under contact us, I click 'Start now' (under 'Real help from real people') and that opens the Adobe Virtual Assistant, which can't handle my query (it repeatedly says "I'm learning, please explain differently").

Here's what I've tried - in all cases I get the same 'Error 500: Internal Server Error' message (see screenshot attached to original post)

  • 'Welcome' email > 'Get Started' button
  • 'Get started' email > 'Download' buttons (PS, LR, LRC)
  • Account icon (top right corner) > Access your apps
  • Manage account > Access your apps and services

To contact support follow the instructions given below
1. Go to https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
2. Wait a bit on the page that opens up, it should automatically open a chat popup. If that does not happen then look for a call out/chat icon at the bottom right, click over it and the chat popup should open
3. In order to talk to a human type "AGENT" in the chat box
4. If you are not able to get to the chat window, then disable your adblockers, firewall, enable cookies/scripts on your browser. If it still fails then change your browser/machine/network.

P.S. Be mindful of answering anyone who sends you a private message. See the following for more information about scammers
