Error #72 when trying to update Creative Cloud for desktop

Hi all,

I've just purchased a Photography Plan (annual, monthly paid). Prior to this, I had a previous version of Creative Cloud (as I tried Lightroom as trial version in the past) and the application requested for update to latest version. When trying to install the latest version of Creative Cloud I received the following error message: "Error updating Cretive Cloud for desktop (Error code: 72). Please contact us for support.". How can I deal with this error and finalize installing Cretive Cloud?

Hi Exabierbilbao,

As you have mentioned you have purchased Adobe Photography Plan and you would like to install and use it, however the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop is asking for an update and when you try to update it gives Error 72 is that correct?

I would recommend you to refer to the following help document to resolve this issue: "Failed to install" error received when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app.

Thanks a lot for your prompt answer. Finally I could fix the problem by uninstalling former version of Creative Cloud and other two outdated Adobe products, and after that rebooting the computer.
