Error code 113 on home network

I've crawled through just about every post I can find about error 113, and have tried every step on Adobe's troubleshooting page for this specific error, but Creative Cloud is still throwing the 113 error when I try to update any of my apps.

Based on both the troubleshooting page and other threads on this error, I have tried: temporarily disabling my firewall, adding all Adobe programs to the firewall's allow list, temporarily disabling my antivirus and antimalware programs, clearing all of my Edge data, restarting in safe mode, restarting normally, and resetting my modem. I am on a wired ethernet connection and my computer does not have onboard WiFi (or one of those USB WiFi doodads).

The only thing that I can come up with is having discovered that ports 80 and 443 are closed, which... I guess is the problem? However, I don't really know what this means, or how to fix it. I saw one solution in a thread on this forum that involved "creating custom inbound and outbound rules" for those ports in the firewall settings, which I attempted (?), but nothing changed so I can only assume I didn't do it correctly.

I am absolutely tearing my hair out over this-- there's no network administrator or anything to pass this off to, so I'm at a loss.

if you have an old os, your default browser must support tls 1.2, https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/eol-tls-support.html

to test your default browser's tls you can use , https://clienttest.ssllabs.com:8443/ssltest/viewMyClient.html

otherwise, confirm that you can connect to the secure adobe servers by reading, http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html

do you see both logos after clicking "link"?

if you can and still see a connection error try these steps, https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/unable-to-reach-adobe-servers.html

if those fail, make sure you also tried the steps at, https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/common-network-connectivity-issues.html

if those all fail, white list the adobe network endpoints, https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html

Addendum: I also did all the hosts file stuff, and that does not seem to be the problem (no Adobe entries).

G3phraim, sorry that you continue to encounter errors while downloading Adobe applications. Please use the steps listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/customer-support-portal.html if you need to update your active support case ADB-29544775-B2H0.

If the solution of updating the settings for the Domain Name Server is successful, then I would encourage you to also contact your Internet Service Provider for their recommendations on what DNS settings should be used with their network, G3phraim. Domain Name Servers serve the vital function of letting the computer know where to go and who to contact on the Internet.
