Hi Michele,

As you have mentioned you are unable to update Adobe Camera Raw as it fails with an error message "Error code 116".

This error occurs when the download is interrupted and gets corrupted, for more information on this error see: Creative Cloud download and install errors.

To resolve this I would suggest you to turn off any Anti-virus, system optimizer, internet and browser security software installed on your machine and then retry the update.

For many customer's ByteFence has been creating this issue, refer to this thread to know more: Creative Cloud update Fatal Error '116" , so if you have this software installed on your machine then please uninstall it and retry.

Let us know if this helps.

Hi,

This isn't a way to do thing.
Creative Cloud is "profesional" software, it should work in a professional environment, with professional anti-virus and professional security.
Why should we disable every security on our workstation to accomodate Adobe ?!?

Agree 100%... haven't been able to update Photoshop in ages. So uninstalled everything and not I can't re-install photoshop... ridiculous!! And this is 3 years after your post and still not fixed.

I am at the point of giving up on Adobe products because of this and taking the time to learn alternatives.

Disable all security for Adobe is insane of them to ask. Adobe is asking to become obsolete and fail with this kind of piss poor customer service. I am just about done forever with them!
