Error code 184, keep reinstalling?...

Hi y'all!

So I am trying to use photoshop to do some work and I had the same issue I am having with CC not updating properly the other day. Basically, I can't use PS and everytime I try to open it the intro load box just gets stuck. I'm fairly positive that the issue is the CC app not updating properly and I uninstalled it and resinstalled it the other day and it worked. But I am back to square one right now and I am just wondering if I am going to have to keep installing and uninstalling it whenever I need to work on stuff. Has anyone found a more permanent solution for this?

Thanks!

As per Installation error codes and solutions help page, error code 184 occurs when a necessary file is locked by another process. This could be e.g. a antivirus program acting up. See if a restart of your computer fixes the issue for you.

These steps are optional, but in case you've accidentally corrupted your current Photoshop installation:

    • Uninstall your current installation of Photoshop and restart your computer. Next, download the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, run it (instructions are on that linked help page) and restart your computer once again after it has finished cleaning up any remains. Then install Photoshop again.
