Pretty much had enough of paying for Adobe now, year after year the service gets worse. Fix this or loose your subscribers. I cannot nor do I want to change to Windows 11. Because your policy won’t let me update Creative Cloud I can’t access previous versions of apps and will be cancelling my subscription.

Error code 190: System requirements not met,

Thanks for the update, @howintheworld. The error message stating several components are still in use occurs when you try to run the uninstaller on the computer.

Please download and run the CC Cleaner Tool from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/diagnostics-repair-tools/run-creative-cloud-cleaner-tool.html to remove the Creative Cloud Desktop app. You do not need to choose the " Clean all option,” remove the Creative Cloud Desktop app’s previous installation, and then reinstall from https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/apps/download-install-apps/creative-cloud-apps/download-creative-cloud-desktop-app-from-web.html ; this has allowed others to recover after trying to install the latest version of Bridge on Windows 10 22H2.

I do understand your concern about the lack of Windows 10 22H2 support for Adobe Bridge, and I would encourage people to post in the Bridge community to discuss the system requirements.

There should be nothing preventing you from installing Creative Cloud Desktop 6.10 on Windows 10 22H2 once the Creative Cloud Desktop app has been removed.

I followed the links and the steps you mentioned. Unfortunately, after finishing, the same error 190 shows up. Anything else, I could try?

I can understand adobe not wanting to give support for older operating systems but we should still have the option of installing and using without support. Adobe would also be much better without the forced updates to creative cloud. Being forced to open creative cloud every so many weeks in order to continue using PS is frankly utter pants because you're then forced to update CC which often takes hours because the Adobe servers are pitifully slow and then sometimes your apps too, often this results in half a day of lost work hours, it's just not compatible with small businesses.

Lack of forced updates is also why many of us want to continue using windows 10 now that support is finally over.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @helenh19754631, and thank you to everyone else who has contributed to this discussion. I understand how frustrating it is to encounter Error 190 on Windows 10 22H2, especially when Creative Cloud updates and application management are affected.

For anyone following this discussion, I would be interested to know whether you attempted to install or update Adobe Bridge before Error 190 began appearing.

According to the current Adobe Bridge system requirements, the latest version of Bridge is not supported on Windows 10. The supported operating systems are Windows 11 versions v21H2 and later:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/desktop/get-started/technical-requirements.html

We've received reports from some individuals that attempting to install an unsupported version of Adobe Bridge on Windows 10 22H2 may result in Error 190 when installing or updating the Creative Cloud desktop app. If you previously attempted to install or update Bridge, please let us know.

Some individuals have reported success after using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to completely remove the Creative Cloud desktop app and then reinstalling it. While this has not resolved the issue in every case, it has helped some affected individuals regain access to Creative Cloud services.

    Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/diagnostics-repair-tools/run-creative-cloud-cleaner-tool.html

Download and reinstall the Creative Cloud desktop app:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/apps/download-install-apps/creative-cloud-apps/download-creative-cloud-desktop-app-from-web.html

If you try these steps and are still unable to install or update the Creative Cloud desktop app successfully, please get in touch with us directly so we can investigate your specific configuration in more detail:

    If you reply, please include:

    • Your Windows version and build number
    • Whether Adobe Bridge was installed or being updated when the issue started
    • Whether running the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and reinstalling the Creative Cloud desktop app changed the behavior

The additional details will help us better understand the situations where Error 190 continues to occur.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or updates to share in this discussion.

Yes, I attempted to install or update Adobe Bridge before Error 190 began appearing. Since then, I uninstalled Bridge from my PC but the 190 error didn’t go away. I don’t understand why Adobe suddenly decided that Window 10 users are excluded from using the latest Bridge updates, but that’s another question. I tried to uninstall the Creative Cloud App but I can’t because ‘several components’ are still attached to the app. I will try the solutions mentioned.

The only reason I’ve kept my Adobe apps licensed is to continue using some of the amazing plugins I’ve purchased over the years; some of which are infinately better than Adobe itself.

But . . . It’s time to admit the inevitable, Adobe is in a dive they are not willing to pull out of or do not have the talented peeps it takes to make it anymore.

So, is adobe going to correct this Creative Cloud error 190 for windows 10 users, or are we looking at a breach of contract? I think Adobe owes us a straight official answer. Uninstalling the CC app is not possible because other apps are wired to CC. So we are completely stuck and still are paying customers.

    for others:

do not remove your working win 10 compatible adobe apps when updating.  adobe cc doesn’t remove those apps unless you start an app update and allow the removal of the older app.

ie, disable automatic app updates and, if you opt to update a compatible app, carefully select “advanced options” at the update start and de-select “"Remove old versions",

I kept all the apps, however after using the clean up tool to remove cloud, I got the same error when installing a new creative cloud. Also been informed by adobe support that windows 10 is no longer supported and I really don’t want windows 11. So after 30 years of using Adobe Photoshop I’ll be looking for something else.
