Error code 201 when attempting to update Creative Cloud on my desktop mac

I keep getting errors in attempting to update Creative Cloud on my desktop mac, gives me the "error 201 code" with 2% downloaded. When I attempt to contact Adobe I get an "unable to" message. What in the heck is going on? I thought it could be a password issue, so I changed it. Same deal.
