error code A12E1

I get the error A12E1 when downloading Creative Cloud Installer "There seems to be a problem with the installation process" .

I am running OS 10.8.4 on an Intel MacBook Pro. My software is up to date, I tried restarting the computer. I tried the cleanup tool mentioned in another discussion, but it showed there were no processes to erase. I looked for the logs mentioned as well, but they aren't on the computer. This is the first Adobe program I'm trying to install.

Hi sapphire0707,

You can follow the steps mentioned in this document

http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-cc-installation-download.html

Under 'Download products and updates' you will see the steps to resolve this issue.

Thanks

It downloads fine, it's with the installation that I get the error.

I am connected to the internet, not behind a firewall or in a corporate environment, and have a router/modem in one so I can't connect to just the modem.

There is no "Learn More" link with the error, and the Troubleshoot Download and Install issues takes me to an error page.

This might be due to permission issues, please try to extract the downloaded files in Root user.

Please check the link on how to Turn on and Turn off Root user in Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528

Thanks!

Follow up: I did find the log, the error was: "Failed to extract or install Adobe Application Manager. Error Code - -3"
