Error message 1935 when installing LR5 onto new Win10 laptop

My desktop died. Lightroom 5.7 worked fine with windows 10 on that machine. I bought a new laptop running win 10 & tried to install LR5 from both my disk and directly from the Adobe website, but got the same error message. The key is correct. I also got a message which stated: 6435B7C0-E0C8-3EA2-91AE-7640034EAFCE} HRESULT:0x80070002.

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

that sounds like a netframework issue.

    start here Error 1935 | Assembly component Microsoft.VC80.CRT | Install | Adobe Creative Suite 5.5, CS5, CS4 | Windows even though it's not specifically for lr5.

Try Downloading from the Application Manager

Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows : Adobe Application Manager : Thank You

Wow, Kglad, I am not keen on messing about with the registry. I have just bought a new laptop and would prefer not to mess it up. Thanks for your help in directing me to this page.
