Error message (E Auth Not Ready) when authorizing digital editions

I have installed digital editions on my computer. It recognises my device (a Kobo Glo).

However, I cannot authorize neither the device nor the computer.

I fill out my (correct) details and it says 'E Auth Not Ready'.

How do I solve this?

I have a Sony eReader and had the same problem when I bought a book from Sainsburys ebooks.

You can get your book without Adobe Digital Editions.

1) Go to http://www.sainsburysebooks.co.uk/orders (or equivalent, I guess) and log in with your details.

2) In the LIST OF ORDERS, find the book you want to read and choose 'get eBook', then choose 'Download'.

3) The eBook file will download as an .ascm file and will have the same name as the title of the book.

4) I think you can import the file onto your eReader software (sorry I can't remember what it's called but maybe Reader Library? It has a flying book logo...) and from there to your eReader.  I think.

Good Luck

I have solved the problem! I will tell you what I did, maybe it is helpful for you as well.

I opened Digital Editions.

In the 'Help Menu' I found an option to delete the computer authorization.

I did that.

Then I closed the programme and opened it again.

Next, I authorized my computer again and then I authorized the device I was using (a Kobo Glo).

And that was it, problem solved.

Hope this helps.
