Hi,
I keep getting the error message “Install” file is damaged. on MacBook Pro (20102), System is El Capitan OSX10.11.2.
I own the MasterCollection_CS5_LS4.dmg since 2010.
Happens when I try to install from my backup disk (I kept the original download as a copy on the external harddisk).
I now also redownloaded the entire .dmg again and got the same error message.

Secondly:
When logging into my account, it only shows me the order number and the price I did pay, but does not give me the option to download it from there.

Anyone has an idea on how to get this running?
Appreciate your input.

Hi John,

a friend gave me the solution, the old CS works flawlessly on the new SSD and the El Capitan OSX
Go to privacy and security under the system preferences.
In the General tab it should say Allow apps downloaded from. Select Anywhere.
Then try installing again.
It worked for me and I did put the security preferences back to intial settings.

Made me a happy camper : )

That MAY be a false error message due to Mac El Capitan and OLD programs

This information is a MUST DO to install old programs on Mac El Capitan

-you may not get the same error message, but these two links will help with old programs

Install CS5 on Mac 10.11 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003455 may help (also for other than CS5)

-also a TEMPORARY security change https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2039319
