Error on Adobe Suite after formatting MacBook Pro hard drive

Recently I updated my MacBook Pro operating system to OS X El Capitan. After the update my Mac wouldn't turn on properly and I had to call apple support, who advised me to format my hard drive. Luckily, it worked and my laptop now runs well again with the exception of the Adobe Suite. I had everything backed up on an external hard drive, so I still have all my applications and have transferred them back onto my laptop. However, when I try to open any of my Adobe programs, such as Lightroom, I get an error message (see below). Since I bought the laptop with the programs already installed, I don't have a registration key in order to uninstall then reinstall. I'm unsure how to fix the problem. Can anybody help?

uninstall your problematic adobe programs.

clean per Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

restart your computer

then properly install your adobe programs using the installation files.

Downloadable installation files available:

Download and installation help for Adobe links

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

I tried this and I'm still getting the same errors. The Cleaner Tool said there there were 0 entries to fix. InDesign says it is error 16. The apps won't run even directly from the external hard drive. I read somewhere that it could be something to do with the disk permissions... could that be the case?
