Error U44M1|210 applying Photoshop patch

Tried applying the patch to Photoshop CC and it failed multiple times.  Uninstalled/reinstalled photoshop, and it resulted in a successful install, but a failed patch attempt.  Looked up the logs and saw:

FATAL: DS003: Installer package might be corrupt. Re-download the installer and try again. (Cannot extract '/Users/john/Library/Caches/Adobe/AAMUpdater/AdobePhotoshopCC2014-15.0/15.2.1/Adobe Photoshop CC 2014/payloads/

Found that file, tried to change permissions, but could not.  I then double clicked it just to see what it would do and THAT resulted in a Mac 1000 error:

  • error -1000 noMaskFoundErr: Icon Utilties Error

Thoughts?

John I would recommend removing the currently installed Adobe software titles on your computer utilizing the process listed in Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.  After this is done you should be able to remove the /Users/john/Library/Caches/Adobe/AAMUpdater/ directory and all folder/directories contained within.

Once this is done please try reinstalling Photoshop CC 2014 utilizing the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

So I delete the AAMUpdater directory or just the ones inside of it?

edit:

So I deleted the entire directory just to see what would happen.  Did that AFTER uninstalling PS and ID.  Reinstall of PS recreated that directory, which was good...but the patch still failed.  Different error this time though.  Here's the line in the ACC.log:

11/17/14 13:20:08:002 | [WARN] | 55126 | ACC | ProductsAppsBL | DownloadErrorVo |  | ProductsAppsBL | 3440 | Error has come from GDE with error type - (49) and error code - (49)

Excellent John progress is being made.  Can you paste about 10 lines before and after the error.  Also what is the name of the log file which contains this error?
