Error when installing updates to CS6 Master Collection

I recently reinstalled CS 6 Master Collection onto may laptop after I had to reinstall the OS.  The Adobe Update Manager prompts that there are updates for all products, but I run into the error:  Installed failed to initialize. It recommends I download "Adobe Support Advisor" but going to the link, Adobe states this is no longer supported.  How to I fix this or download the updates?

    Try below steps once

Hold windows key on your keyboard and Press R key.

In Run window, type Appdata and click on Ok

    Open Local > Adobe folders

    Delete AAMUpdater and OOBE folders

    Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe

Delete Adobe Application Manager and OOBE folders

    Reinstall Adobe Application Manager from

    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4773&fileID=4437

    Then try

I get the same error when trying to install the above Application Manager.  I even tried rolling back and installed my CD5.5 suite.  No go.  Same issue.  I see phone support is no longer available either.  Wow.  Any other suggestions or am I *forced* to pay for Creative Cloud (which I will not do)?!?

Michael Regert I would recommend reviewing the PDApp.log to determine why the installer is failing to initialize.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the PDApp.log at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.  You are welcome to post any specific errors which you discover.

did you properly install cs6 using the installation files or did you use a migration assistant?

Install using the full setup.exe file from MasterCollection_CS6_LS16.7z
