Error while reinstalling Creative Suite 5.5

I started having problems while trying to load and run Premiere, so I deleted the application and tried to reinstall it. I kept getting a disk error. Then I deleted the entire suite using the Adobe uninstall app. When I tried to reinstall the suite, I kept getting a disc error. I think the problem may be that I did not inactivate the suite before I uninstalled it. Adobe says the way to inactive a program is to reinstall it, then make it inactive, but how can I do that if I can't reinstall it in the first place? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
