I have disabled any security and firewalls thinking that was it. but still gives me the same error 205. FAQ is very vague as to what the problem is. I run windows8.1

Error 205 is an network issue.
The possible solutions are listed below :
1) Disable Firewall.
2)Disable 3'rd party security settings , if you had installed any.
3)If you are using wireless connection , try with wired Ethernet connection .
4)Still same ? you need to try with different Internet service provider company Internet connection which is not feasible solution .
Hence , if all steps did not work , we need to follow alternate method for time being.

Click on the below link and open Photoshop Elements download link.
Do not close the page , simply keep it open.
Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10
Step 2 :
Click on the below link and download Creative cloud direct installer zip file :
http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/KCCC/1/win32/ACCCx3_0_0_74.zip
Once the Zip file is downloaded , right click on it and select Extract All option and extract the contents and try installing Adobe Creative Cloud application and check.
