Failed error when trying to download InDesign or Photoshop to my Macbook Air 10,1

I am trying to set up my Macbook Air 10,1 with my Adobe programs. I successfully downloaded the Creative Cloud app but when I try to download any of the programs like Indesign or Photoshop, it immediately says failed to download.

Several blogs posted ideas on trying to find the file Adobe AAMUpdater and such but I cannot find those files. I did a search but they do not exist. I am running Mac OS Monterey 12.6.

Help!

Correct answer kglad

what does "Macbook Air 10,1" mean?

if that's a regular macbook air,

uninstall the cc desktop app, using the correct uninstaller, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app using the "alternative download links" at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

If you would like to continue discussing the errors you are encountering in a public discussion forum, Stagefog1, then I would encourage you to create a new discussion, as the errors you are encountering are likely not the same as someone from 2022. ^JW

Well I uninstalled Creative cloud then I went in and searched for all the files that had adobe or creative cloud in its name and trashed those. I reinstalled Creative Cloud and it worked.

Macbook Air 10,1 is what the system overveiw calls it. It's late 2020 Macbook Air. Anyway. Success! Thanks for your advice.

What, exactly, did the error code say?

Does this help?
