Failure to re-install Premiere Elements v12 on my iMac because of claimed invalid serial number

I have tried to re-install Premiere Elements v12 on my iMac (running Yosemite 10.10.5) but the serial number page says "we are unable to validate this serial number". Yet it was purchased from Adobe UK and appears on my list of registered products. What can I do?

Problem solved - it was an entry in my hosts file which prevented me authenticating my serial number with Adobe. Now I've removed the entry all is OK. Thanks for all the help and suggestions,.

Thanks for the link but my serial number is just not accepted by the installation.
