Fed up with adobe

My Elements 12 lasted about 2 months before it quit working. My programs typically last until the next upgrade comes along. The techs are not smart enough to help me reinstall Elements 12.  Does anyone know of a good photoshop program that is not Adobe.  I'm fed up.

      What exactly happens when you launch it? Any error message?

      My organizer worked fine, but when I tried to launch Editor I got the message that 'windows has stopped working and is shutting down" or something of the sort.  I've spent a good deal of time going to websites to re-install.  At one point it instructed me to uninstall first.  I did that but then couldn't get to a page where it would help me reinstall. (So I don't remember exactly what the shut down message was and can't reenact)  I spent a good deal of time chatting with your tech person this afternoon.  I gave her/him the original serial number and the upgrade to Elements 12.  I have had 8, 11, & 12 and they all seem to quit once you advertise a new upgrade.  She transferred me to another tech who told me to go to the forum.  So here I am.
