Finding serial/activation number?

My laptop died and I had to purchase a new one.  I'm trying to get all of my programs re-installed.

Adobe Acrobat says the number I had saved for it is not a valid serial number.  I did not purchase this on a cd.  It was a download.  How do I find my serial/activation number?  My account with Adobe seems to know that I did purchase it but I do not see any place there to find the serial/activation number.

    I found it.  I happened to remember that I might have archived the email from Adobe.  And I had.

    Suggest you store all serial numbers safely somewhere. I have all mine stored in a single secure text file in Dropbox. Has served me very well for over 10+ years and I always have my serial numbers available wherever I am. Just sign in to Dropbox and retrieve them in seconds.
