Firework CS6 Windows 10 not opening MSVCP100.dll & MSVCR100.dll errors

Hello everyone,

Since upgrading to Windows 10, I am no longer allowed to open Fireworks CS6, which I use all the time for web graphics. I receive the error that stays the DLL is not installed.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times with no luck. Is anyone able to actually run Fireworks CS6 in Windows 10?

Thank you

Matthew

Correct answer Averybug

I tried installing it again today and it seems that the issue has been resolved on its own. Not sure if there was an update done on Fireworks or if a Windows 10 update solved it, but it is now working for me.

Thanks

alright, it took me a bit, but I finally found a solution.

Get this file:  Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Double click to install and see that it creates a temp directory to unpack and install. While it give you a dialogue box to agree to the terms and conditions, ignore that box and jump over to C drive Local disk and there you will find a folder named in some random numbers ---> C:\dc417584c1b9cb9aa82e7ae2e6 - See the images.

JUST LEAVE THIS SCREEN WHERE IT IS (DO NOT CLICK INSTALL OR CANCEL)

This could also be called vc_red.cab

DON'T GRAB THE FILES SHOWN, grab the F_CENTRAL_msvcr100_x86 and F_CENTRAL_msvcp100_x86 , save them to a empty folder on the desktop, then copy the files to-> C:/Program Files (x86)/Adobe/Adobe Fireworks CS6/   folder.

Rename them to msvcr100.dll and msvcp100.dll respectively.

That's what finally did the trick for me!

Only thing I would add is that you should use the x86 version of MVC++ 2010 as Fireworks is a 32 bit application, not 64 bit. Here is the link: Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Thanks David, you rock!!!!

Thank you very much for the reply.

Unfortunately, None of those solutions worked.  I received a message from Adobe to hopefully help.

I'll post the resolution once I have it.

Thanks
