Fireworks MX 2004 - new serial number only works temporarily

I got a new work laptop and had to reinstall Macromedia Fireworks MX 2004.  I used the new serial number they gave me this year (2015) since they stopped support/activation. It worked for a couple of months but now, every time I open Fireworks, it makes me enter the serial number again!!!! It works but only temporarily until I close it, then I have to re-enter the s/n each time. Ugh.

    We would like to inform you that Fireworks MX2004 is now end of life, we only have limited resources for it.

    Kindly try the below mentioned link if it works for you.

    Error: Unable to Activate | Macromedia products

    Unfortunately, these products are not tested on any of the latest OS, therefore, you could face some incompatibilities.
