Fonts doesn't open

Hi, I tried open a font in my apps but the Photoshop doesn't open with that font. I downloaded it (the font) but i can't use. Why?

Can you tell us which version of Photoshop and OS you have and was it an Adobe Font that you downloaded and if so what is the name of the font.
