Free Student Download

What happened to the free Student download? I was looking at the school packages and they are way out of our small charter schools budget, Adobe used to have a section for students to be able to download free programs. I had downloaded 3ds Max to be able to get my degree. It was just a student edition and had limitations, but for small schools that don't have much money it was an option to still get a good education. Is this option just gone?

They stopped it because far too many people had been abusing the "students only" policy of these downloads (the specifics I cannot discuss in these forums). So now, everybody MUST pay the FULL PRICE of the individual programs or packages.

So in this case, a bunch of rotten apples has spoiled it for everyone.
