Hi folks,

I just started a 7 day free trial og adobe lightroom and I have installed it but I cannot open it. When I try to open it it just hangs indefinitely with the timer icon, I am on a macbook.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated!

first, make sure you have no av, antimalware, antiadware etc that could be shutting down lr.

if that fails, reset your preferences - https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

if that fails, restart your Mac in Safe Mode (press and hold the Shift key while it boots. You can stop holding the Shift key when you see an Apple logo and progress bar) and test lightroom.

post back whether that works, or not.

(To leave Safe Mode, just reboot your Mac without holding the Shift key.)

It's Yosemite 10.10.5, I've tried restarting the computer, and killing and restating lightroom but it all results in the same behaviour :/
