I am not currently using the CC, but I have PS5 v12.1  LR 3.6 and PS Premiere Elements 15.  Will there be alot of difference in the CC programs over my existing stand alone programs?  Is there a large learning curve also.

Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements to run Creative Cloud + Photoshop + Lightroom + Bridge + Camera Raw, etc...

CS5 came out in 2010.  I'm not kidding when I say a lot has changed and Photoshop 2020 is lightyear's ahead of CS5.  You have 10 years to catch up on.

Will there be, Is There, differences between your stand alone program and the newer programs?

Yes and No.

More features and possibly better featrure in newer version. Also more and or different bugs.

Other than that basically Not much difference.

If you already know how tom use the versions you have the learning curve is over. Except for the newer features.

Just like buying a new car. It goes and stops like your old car but all the buttons are in a different place.

Just takes some using to get acustom to it.

You need to ask that question in the forum for each program you plan to use
