Getting Error code 42 after migrating from old Apple iMac to MacBook Pro

I no longer have access to my old iMac from which my new MacBook was loaded by the Apple migration process.  After getting Error 42 on the MacBook, I tried uninstalling Creative Cloud, but then I get an Error 1.  Apparently it wants me to uninstall all the Adobe apps on my system (Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, etc)?  Those apps seem to be working.  My Lightroom Classic catalog and photos are on an external HDD.  Can you please describe the process for getting CC back?  Thanks.

    restore your new computer

properly u install all adobe apps from your old computer

then use the adobe cleaner on that old computer

migrate your old to your new computer

properly install adobe apps onto your new computer.

Thanks for the reply.  If I read this correctly, you are saying that I need to use adobe cleaner on my old computer.  Like I said, the Apple Store did the migration process.  I did not know about this adobe cleaner issue - I no longer have the old computer.

Should I just uninstall the Adobe apps that have been migrated to my new computer and reinstall them?

migration is a mess with adobe.  you should go back to the store and follow my first suggestion.

if that’s impossible, on the new computer,

    try uninstalling all adobe apps,

    use cleaner,

    restart your computer

try installing adobe apps de novo.
