GPUCache Folders appearing (not just on desktop).
We have been noticing for a little while now that GPUCache folders are appearing in various spots.
First it used to only appear on the desktops.
Then it started appearing under the C:\ drive.
Now we are seeing them on our SAN along with the books being created.
We are a publication company and use InDesign, InCopy, Photoshop, and Illustrator fairly heavily.
We have a custom menu made that contains our in-house applications along with shortcuts to the specific adobe apps available to the users.
Clicking on the application in our custom menu takes them to the hard coded path of the application - this is bypassing the creative cloud menu up which just sits in the task tray.
Sometimes users will browse to an existing folder location on the SAN and launch the associated file extension (.indd for example) to an existing book, and this will launch the application.
What we are seeing is that when users do this, the GPUCache folder is created on the SAN in the same folder as the launched file.
I can't find any place to disable or change this behavior.
I have searched the forums and the suggestions given by purging the creative cloud icon from the desktop and then re-creating it doesn't fit our environment since we are using our own custom menu application as described above. !
Is there a way to limit this to just the users local profile rather than appearing to pop up in multiple places randomly?
Thanks.
