    Shame on me.

My sincere apologies to all of you who are just trying to help. My frustration and comments were directed at Adobe, not a group of people who are taking time to help others.

Please continue to help all those who are requesting help.

    Sorry for the distraction.

I am using the suggestion of trying the trial. What I get is a sales pitch that leads me into spending more money to upgrade a product I don't need upgrading. Happy with what I have and if I want to upgrade I'd like to make that decision. Not be forced into it because of unanticipated circumstances. This is an absurd approach to loyal customers.

What is wrong with you people? This is a simple problem faced by anyone with a legitimate issue caused by the unanticipated failure of a previous computer. I have it. Not my fault. All I want to do is buy a new computer and reload my software that I paid real money for. And all we get is a run around sending me and others into endless hours of trying various dead end and contradictory solutions. And all we get is more questions and requests for screen shots. You have to be kidding. How can a company like Adobe be so arrogant. They charge top dollar and provide no useful customer support. If I had an alternative I would take it. I hope someday some competitor arrives and we can all abandon this useless customer support model. You deserve to be eradicated as an option. Shame on all of you.

    Well thank you!

There are three different people with three different problems in this topic, and none of you are giving full details, e.g. what software you are trying to reinstall.

You can find most software downloads at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html

Downloading any of these softwares will not prompt you to buy an upgrade; just download, install, and re-activate it with your serial number or Adobe ID.

Downloaded the two files and extracted the one. Then ran the exe file and received the following message:

    We’ve encountered the following issues

Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.

I then clicked on get Adobe Support Advisor and it said the following:

The Adobe Support Advisor has been discountinued.

    Still need help please.
