Question

Has Adobe been stealing anyone else's credit or data?

Hello

I want to hear from anyone else who has had their phone credit or internet allowance swiped by adobe's bs auto-updates.

I put 30 bucks credit on my phone just now and connected my phone up to my computer so I could use the internet.

Next thing 5 gig of data had vanished, I had a look through everything that was open and "adobe cloud" had started downloading

every update at once.

So not only had it stolen 30 bucks worth of credit in a heartbeat but I get nothing for that money either as that only covered about 3%

of each programs update,

Thats called stealing adobe, I didn't ask for the updates and phone credit costs a lot in Australia.

Your shoddy update system is fraudulent and stole from me.

Will I be getting that money back?

And how many people have you already done this to?

I have never had updates from the Creative Cloud install or download automatically, I always get a notification that updates are available from the CC app and I can choose when to download them

Maybe you have this option enabled, if so just disable it

Sorry Ged

I think you think i'm some new recruit, 10 years in the industry using these programs.

Yes I had the auto-updates disabled, in fact I had adobe cloud's auto startup disabled.

It shouldn't have been running at all.

I've even gone to the extremes of editing the System files (Registry and all) on my mac to disable startup.

Every time, without permission it sneaks back in, re-edits the registry so it can start on

startup and begins updating again.

This time after the program had hacked my computer it decided to try updating everything at once!

This is completely un-acceptable Adobe.

I don't believe you when you say that mate sorry.

I don't get updates unless I specifically invoke them from my Creative Cloud desktop app.    That said, the software does have to call home once in a while to confirm your subscription status.  When was the last time you were online?
