Question

Has anyone gotten CS6 AE and Premiere to run on XP 64? I get the KERNEL32.dll error

I do see that XP 64 is not officially supported, but can After Effects and Premiere run at all?  Photoshop, Audition, Bridge and a few other of the CC apps run, though Photoshop does not see my Quadro card for OpenGL.

I've been using the Master Suite CS3 since it was new and it's fine.

Upgrading to Win7 means a full install, so a big headache and more expense.  The machine is BOXX and runs fantastically.  And, Win7 does not do as well in OpenGL, which I use heavily in 3D with Cinema4D.

If anyone, anyone at all, has AE and Premiere working on XP 64 please let me know how you got around the KERNEL32.dll error.

Thanks so much!

I'll take that as a 'no'.

So I'll have to de-activate the CC apps I've installed, do a full new install for Win7 and re-install CC.  For joy.

I've not seen any issues with OpenGL in Win7. Unless you have very current data on that issue (I'm not a Cinema4D user), I think you may be pleasantly surprised. The little navigation touches in Win7 definitely make for a superior (read "faster") work environment than XP.
